GENERAL MANAGER: HUMAN RESOURCES (Somerset West)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Responsible for the implementing, managing and maintaining the overall strategic objectives for Human Resources. This position will be responsible for Rheinmetall Denel Munition countrywide.
REPORTING TO: Chief Operations Officer

CLOSING DATE: 17 March 2011

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Contribute to the achievement of the overall strategic objectives of Rheinmetall Denel Munition.
Manage organization design and development and change strategy.
Develop Human Resource strategy with reference to transformation, succession planning,
Industrial Relations,
Remuneration and Reward, organizational development,
Recruitment and Selection.
Manage and direct the companies’ Industrial Relations function observing all relevant labour legislation.
Manage and implement Employment Equity.
Manage and Implement BBBEE.
Implement Retention Strategies.
Implement Remuneration and Benefit Strategy.
Interfacwith organization executives on company Human Resource matters.
Manage the organization’s Performance and reward strategies to instill a high performance culture.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in Human Resources Management or relevant NQF 6 equivalent qualification.
At least 10 years experience in Human Resources at a senior level.
Proven strategic planning competencies.
Experience at dealing with Organized Labour.
Knowledge of LRA, BCEA, SDA and EE Act.
Ability to communicate and operate at a senior level.
Proven knowledge and experience of all labour and Industrial relations legislation.
Ability to make sound decisions and demonstrate good judgment.
Ability to drive change management with demonstrated understanding and competence in managing transformation development and performance.
Advanced computer literacy (MS Office packages).
